Review of "Blood, Faith,
Loyalty " by Joe Hardcore on Centerfuse
Few bands have been at it as long as Strength For
A Reason. I can remember seeing their first shows
in the winter of 1997. Alot of shit has changed
in hardcore yet these guys are still putting down
some of the realest shit out there. Not discouraged
by the big marketing schemes and lack of sincerity,
they've pushed forward with their traditional hardcore
style - for better or worse. This is their latest
and greatest, giving you both a dose of the new
songs and a few oldies but goodies. SFAR succeed
by sticking to their guns and being quite forward.
The title of the record says it all, this is their
commitment to hardcore and to what they care about.
Few bands match the integrity and kept true to the
DIY spirit as these guys. Spook City did a wonder
with the record cover (limited edition tribute to
the bands deceased loved ones) and the sound. An
overall classic hardcore record from one of the
few bands that remain true in the face of all these
hypes and trends and greed. Impressive dose of real
hardcore from the great state of Pennsylvania
