Review of "Show and Prove" by Vic of East Coast Hardcore After a few years of waiting, Strength For A Reason finally released their long anticipated full length CD on Thornz Records. This disc is 11 songs long and is brought to you by the BFL, Nanticoke Straight Edge representatives from North Eastern PA. The whole disc tends to stay in the mid-paced range, which is exactly the way it should be. There are no boring and drawn out beatdowns, yet there aren’t many extremely fast and sloppy old school parts. This disc is brutal the whole way through and it’s great to see more Straight Edge bands coming out of PA. The vocals have a real brute and gruff sound to them that somewhat remind me of Everybody Gets Hurt or Madball. The lyrics on this disc are another high point to this CD, they’re tough yet positive in most cases. There are guest vocals by Mad Joe Black among others, so definitely check this out if you’re looking for tough, genuine PA HARDCORE. Oh yeah, just forgot to add the layout looks nice as hell too.
