Review of "Blood, Faith,
Loyalty " by Brodie Holman of East
Coast Romper
Since 1997 this PA hardcore band have put out some
of the best straight-line/no bullshit hardcore records.
They play a brand of mid-tempo, thrashing, low-end
hardcore that flows seamlessly from the very first
track to the last. They are diverse enough and especially
creative enough in their own right, adding to their
firmly established credibility. The bouncing, forceful
beats sound like they were well thought out and
adding the gruff, angst-ridden vocals solidified
an overall sound that is the personification of
hardcore. What was really intriguing about the album
was their utilization of build-up riffs that never
seemed to be at a loss for suspense or ingenuity.
Finalizing this well-balanced sound are the required
gang vocals and a plethora of emotionally fueled
lyrics discussing some of the obstacles and losses
they have dealt with since their last effort. There
is little doubt that they have had their share of
trauma and they have brilliantly communicated those
feelings through a canvas of bloody hardcore. To
simplify, this is the real deal hardcore-no joke.
