Review of "Show and Prove"
by IZ of WMTD

Thornz Records is definitely an uprising label with
great releases from No Retreat/Krutch, NJ Bloodline,
Step To The Plate comp (feat. FCP, Down My Throat
and more) and Strength For A Reason. And this eleven
song cd is another winner for sure. Strength For
A Reason play typical tough guy hardcore in the
vein of Hatebreed with some more oldschool influences...
a lot of sing a longs. I guess you could best describe
it as modern metalcore with an old style touch to
it... Like how bands like Madball and others used
to be like 6/7 years ago. Songs like "Brotherhood",
"Looking Back", "One Falls Off"
and "Lesson Learned" are great anthems
and are bound to make a club of kids fuck each other
up. As you've probably noticed: the songtitles don't
leave much for imagination and indeed most of the
lyrics deal with brotherhood, hardcore, backstabbing
and keeping true to yourself and your friends. This
one is bound to end up in my cd-player regularly.
